Ron Bryant has just returned from a luxury cruise which he won in our National Table Tennis Day competition, courtesy of our partners Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. Ron, who plays at Lowlands TTC and is record secretary for Wembley & Harrow, here describes his experience:

On July 14th, 2016 it was National Table Tennis Day and I downloaded a pack from Table Tennis England not even knowing that by doing so I had entered a prize draw for a cruise on the Balmoral with Fred Olsen.

On October 23rd, my wife and I set sail from Southampton to Spain and France for seven days, our first experience of cruising – and for sure it will not be the last.

The whole week was exceptional and it is only right that I recommend Fred Olsen and in doing so thank Table Tennis England for a never to be forgotten holiday. The food was first class, as was the entertainment on board. I also need to highlight the effort that goes in to ensure cleanliness is maintained throughout the cruise.

If I did have a complaint, as a table tennis player, the facilities for our sport could be better as the room is shared with “arts and crafts” and is not freely available. However, the Balmoral crew champion Robert Rosales from the Philippines was quality and I have forgiven him for the 8-1 thrashing I received.
