Team GB’s table tennis squad have flown out to Brazil for their final Olympic preparations.
Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall, Sam Walker and Tom Jarvis left for the holding camp in Belo Horizonte today.
They will spend a few days acclimatising and training before moving into the athletes’ village in Rio itself.
Before flying out, the squad spent a couple of days at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, training and undertaking media commitments – check out the video below.
The squad are accompanied by Table Tennis England Performance Coach Alan Cooke and Head of Talent & Performance Simon Mills, who is the team leader.
The draw for the table tennis competition is on August 3 and the tournament gets under way on the 6th, the day after the Opening Ceremony.
