Jamie Liu has been selected to represent Europe at the ITTF World Hopes Week which begins next month.

He was one of three European boys and two girls selected following a Eurotalents Hopes Selection Camp in Luxembourg which ended at the weekend.

Alongside Simon Belik (CZE), Erik Huzsvar (HUN), Darya Vasilenka (BLR) and Hana Arapovic (CRO), the Reading player will travel to Doha for the world event, which begins on May 29 and features 16 boys and 16 girls from around the world.

Liu, 12, is the current under-11 and under-12 national champion and was one of 30 players and 17 coaches from around Europe to attend the selection camp.
