Do YOU want to be part of a table tennis world record attempt?

If so, get along to the Wigan Youth Zone on Saturday October 24 and you could bounce your way to Guinness recognition.

The venue has teamed up with Aerobic Table Tennis, Pink Pong and Wigan Athletic Football Club to make an attempt on the record for most people bouncing a ball on a bat for 10 seconds.

Some 250 people are needed to make it a reality and all it takes to get involved is a minimum donation of £2, with proceeds going to Cancer Research UK and Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.

Anyone making a donation will be automatically registered to take part in the record bid at 2pm. Anyone who does wish to take part is asked to contact Steve Rowe of Aerobic Table Tennis in advance via [email protected]

The attempt is part of a day’s festivities lasting from noon to 5pm, including exhibition matches and skill showcases from the likes of Commonwealth Games silver medallist Andrew Rushton. Special guests will also include Britain’s Got Talent star Henry Gallagher and the Mayor of Wigan.
