Paul Drinkhall’s run to the semi-finals of the European Games has seen him move back into the world’s top 50.

The 25-year-old has risen from No 55 to 41 in the latest ITTF world rankings, in the process leapfrogging Liam Pitchford.

However, there is good news for Pitchford too as he re-enters the top 50, climbing from 51 to 45 after reaching the quarter-finals in Baku.

Kelly Sibley, who was eliminated in the first round in Baku, falls slightly from 175 to 182 on the women’s list.
