BATTS Table Tennis Club has been honoured for its good work in the community.
The Harlow-based club was a winner in the education, sport and art category at the Heart4Harlow Awards.
The citation said the club, which is a Table Tennis England Talent Development Centre, provides “joy and fitness” and makes “a tremendous contribution to Harlow and the wider community”.
BATTS chairman Eric Todd received the award at a recent ceremony. He said: “We are delighted to receive this award from Hearts4Harlow.
“These accolades recognise that we are not just a thriving table tennis club – BATTS is a central part of the community and provides a warm welcome to anyone who wants to enjoy our great sport.”
