England’s Commonwealth Games draw has a Caribbean flavour as the men will face Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica in the group stages.

The second seeds, England will be in Pool B and will start against Jamaica at 11.10am on Thursday.

Trinidad & Tobago are the next opponents at 5.40pm the same day, and they finish against Barbados at 11.10am on Friday.

The women are seeded third and will also face Trinidad & Tobago in Pool C, which is completed by Ghana and Tanzania.

They begin against Ghana at 9.30am on Thursday and face Trinidad & Tobago at 4pm the same day before fininshing against the Tanzanians at 9.30am on Friday.

The draw for the knockout stages will take place after the group stage is completed.

England team leader Jon Pett said: “We’re happy with the draw and confident of progressing. Preparation has gone well and the teams are now looking forward to competing.”
