Two-time World Championships of Ping Pong Finals attendee Egle Adomelyte proved her worth once again with victory in the first qualification event of the 2015 series after success at the BATTS qualifier.
The Lithuanian, who lives in London, showed her skills were still at top notch after the break from the finals held at Alexandra Palace back in January. Having won her group with comfort she advanced to the knockout stages to dispose of Omar Khassal, Richard Hutchinson, Ryan Fellows and Graham Sandley before defeating youngster Luke Walsh 15-12, 15-5, 12-15, 15-12 in the final.
Walsh, who had lost in his group to family friend Adam Nutland, put his earlier defeat behind him to see off challenges from experienced players Paul Worallo and and Denis Neale before his semi-final victory against Joe Kennedy set-up the final with Adomelyte.
