The 2014 English Leagues Cup Competition Finals take place this weekend (June 7-8th, 2014) in Wellingborough with Westfield Table Tennis Club, Weaver’s Leisure Centre preparing to welcome the teams ahead of national glory.
Play starts at 10am on both days with the senior events, the Wilmott Cup and JM Rose Bowl contested on the Saturday with Bournemouth the top seeds in both events. Sunday sees the juniors, Carter Cup and Bromfield Trophy, battle it out for the titles. The Carter Cup holders, Wembley & Harrow will be aiming to defend their title whilst Bournemouth, last year’s silver medallists, step up to pole position in the Bromfield Trophy.
Several leagues who have been winners in recent years, will also be in attendance, including Bournemouth, Derby, Guildford, North Herts, Leicester, Plymouth and Nottingham. There are also teams from Grimsby & Cleethorpes and Watford for whom it will be their first venture at this stage of the competition.
