Information regarding Accredited Prior Learning (APL)/Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) will appear here shortly. APL/APEL is a process by which candidates can accredit prior learning (courses/qualifications etc) or prior experiential learning (for example coaching at international standard) which they have completed against elements of the UKCC qualification which they intend to undertake. All APL/APEL evidence must have been completed within 3 years of the application, for example completing a degree in Sports Coaching 5 years ago would not be eligible as evidence for APL.

As the UKCC qualifications are transferred onto the Qualifications and Credits Framework (QCF) this process will be replaced with Recognised Prior Learning (RPL). This will cover both forms of prior learning.
