WITH a sponsorship deal worth £1,500 on the table, Imogen Barber was game for teaming up with Redrow.
Imogen, 13, from Cottingham, represents Yorkshire at table tennis and is in the top 15 in the cadet girls in the English Table Tennis Association rankings.
She lives close to Redrow’s Holtby Gardens development in Dunswell Road and when the developer heard about her success they offered to give her some home support.
Dad Frank said: “Table tennis at this level is a very elitist sport and we’re extremely grateful to Redrow for their generous support. Imogen has been among the top players since she took up table tennis but we’re trying not to look at the rankings because it makes her nervous. The sponsorship from Redrow will pay for the extra training Imogen needs to progress and improve her game. Hopefully it will help catapult her into the top three in the national championships.”
Imogen visited Holtby Gardens to meet her sponsors who batted her a cheque to pay for her coaching.
Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), says: “At Redrow we take pride not only in the homes we build but also in playing an active part in the communities in which we operate. When we heard about Imogen’s success and her need for additional training we were delighted to be able to help. We hope to see her serve up many more wins in the future.”
Holtby Gardens features a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes. Priced from £139,950 they enjoy a winning combination of traditional exteriors and modern interiors.
