Andy’s nomination story

Andrew was born with left hemi cerebral palsy. With determination he is now a member of the development squad for GB (BTTAD) for the paralympics in table tennis. He attends the Warrington Table Tennis Club every week and is a determined team player. He has learnt to overcome his disability to play the guitar and snooker. He was bullied at school but with his positive attitude he achieved the required the GCSEs and A levels he needed to enable him to go to Manchester University to study Mathematics.

Andrew always gives 100% and to be part of this fantastic event would be a well deserved reward

Now aged 20 Andrew  has represented North West Region at UK School Games where he won Gold in 2007 and became Champion Ambassador in 2009.Ranked 7 in BTTAD Class 7 for Standing Disability and received TASS (Talented Athlete) funding.
