Last Sunday, October 2nd, saw the first Bournemouth ETTA One Star Tournament which took place in Portchester School’s new Sportshall.
With over 65 entries, from over 7 counties, the day was set for a fantastic competition.
The venue definitely had the ‘Wow’ factor’ clearly evident on the faces of both players and parents as they entered the arena set up with 12 Butterfly tables and over a 100 new Joola barriers. Geoff Ware, who has been round the country playing in tournaments for many years commented, ‘What an excellent venue with good flooring and lighting! The potential for this venue to enhance table tennis competition in the South is certainly exciting.’
Alan Mann also provided some fantastic memories for the day and has kindly made his pictures available for viewing on his web site and for purchase at a very reasonable price.
