Last week’s appeal for memorabilia has produced some positive results, with a special thank you to Jose Ransome who has sent a large package of photographs which will keep me busy for a day or so having a meander through them.
Today, four photos from the Ellenborough Table Tennis Club in Enfield, Middlesex, are featured from their heydays in the 1970s and 1980s.
I have been carrying out quite a lot of research during the last few weeks for myself as well as for individual and groups.
With the Association’s 100-year anniversary in the not too distant future it may be a good time to research your history whether personal, league or county. There is a lot of material about and especially useful are the ‘Table Tennis’ and ‘Table Tennis News’ magazines on this website, which were scanned by Graham Frankel and are an invaluable resource.
One idea is to create some profiles of prominent people in your area. If you look at the Sussex County TTA website there are examples of what can be done.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone at any time about their research work or to receive old photographs, programmes or any other ephemera for the archives. I can be contacted on [email protected]
