The Senior British League returns this Saturday with several clubs vying for a top-four position as the season enters a crucial period.

Urban TTC, currently top of the division, have not been beaten in their four fixtures so far this season. They travel to Archway Peterborough who come into the tie full of confidence off the back of two consecutive league wins.

Urban TTC have a squad full of experienced and highly skilled players from which to select their trio. Daniel Kosiba, Daniel Schaffer, Szilard Gyorgy and Alim Hirji have lost just four singles matches between them this campaign.

Archway are set to field their strongest team possible. Their squad will include the former Chinese youth squad player Jai Wang Song, England number five Chris Doran, Wales number one Callum Evans and Adam Jepson.

Song was vital in Archway’s victory against Ormesby last round, the third defeat Ormesby have suffered this season.

The north-east side have named a competitive team as they welcome high-flying Ormeau to Middlesborough. The squad of Sining Zhang, Darius Knight, Helshan Weerasinghe and Josh Weatherby will be hoping to get their title-defence back on track.

Ormeau, limited in the players they have available for selection, will be represented by Matt Ware and 16-year-old Alexi Lebrun.

Head coach Keith Knox said: “This weekend will be very difficult for us and even though Ormesby have lost matches thus far, they are an exceptionally strong side. Ormeau has a tremendous team spirit and we will all look forward to the challenge.”

The final fixture on Saturday, starting at 5pm, sees BATTS travel to Fusion.

BATTS welcome back Paul Lavergne to their squad, who has previously been unavailable because of a back injury. The Harrow based club will also field Mike O’Driscoll and Josh Bennett. They will be hoping to emulate the form shown in Round 3 when they beat title-holders Ormesby.
