A place at the Butterfly National School Team Championship Finals is the target for 118 schools competing at the Regional Finals.
They made their way through the Zone Finals, held at eight venues, to move on to the next phase at the Regional level over the weekend of February 8 and 9, at Blackburn (Saturday), Bristol (Saturday and Sunday) or Grantham (Sunday).
There are four age groups – U11, U13, U16 and U19 – for both boys and girls, and several current national champions are still in the competition: Tanbridge House School, Horsham (West Sussex) in the U16 Boys, Earls Hall Primary, Westcliff-on-Sea (Essex) in the U11 Boys and Redlands Primary, Worksop (Notts) in the U11 Girls. Under-13 winners from last year – St Mary’s College, Hull (Boys) and Ripley St Thomas High, Lancaster (Girls) are also still involved, having stepped up to Under-16s.
The Butterfly National School Team Championship Finals are at Hinckley Leisure Centre on March 14.
