A host of PremierClubs have already joined the TT Kidz revolution and there is still time to get on board for the next phase of our exciting youth initiative!
One of the benefits of being a PremierClub is the ability to access the latest programmes and initiatives developed by Table Tennis England, including TT Kidz.
Sign-ups for TT Kidz phase two will close on Wednesday November 27 and Clubs need to be PremierClubs in order to deliver the programme.
The TT Kidz programme provides clubs with specially researched and designed sessions to help them introduce a whole new generation of children to our great game, and giving them the skills necessary to enjoy a great game of table tennis for themselves.
It could potentially add a new, dynamic aspect to your club, giving you and your fellow coaches the chance to engage with children and parents, and teach the game in a new, refreshing way.
One of the clubs to have benefitted from the programme is Luton Table Tennis Club. Watch the short video below to see what a TT Kidz session at Luton looks like.
Clubs that are part of the programme receive support from Table Tennis England, including resources, training and marketing assistance.
Kingfisher TTC in Reading are one of the PremierClubs to have run TT Kidz sessions so far and have reaped the benefits of potential new members coming in to the club on the back of the fun and energetic sessions.
As Raj Patel from the club said: “TT Kidz is a great initiative from Table Tennis England to help inspire the next generation of players, and it is a great way to attract more young people into table tennis clubs.
“It has been a massive success for us at Kingfisher and amazing to see many new young faces playing table tennis for the first time, having lots of fun and making friends. All the children left the first session buzzing and excited and wanting to come back.”
To help inspire the TT Kidz participants at Kingfisher, the club was treated to a visit from Olympian Paul Drinkhall, as part of the Aspiration Fund project. To find out more about the visit, click here.
