It was a disappointing show in the junior boys singles at the World Junior Table Tennis Championships.
The initial outlook looked promising as three of the four England players making it out of the group stages, with Liam Pitchford toping his group. David McBeath and Sam Walker fell in round 1, whilst Pitchford dispatched his counterpart Chinese Taipei to make it into the last 32, but that was as far as he would go, as the Korean Kim Dong Hyun narrowly defeated him 4-3

Boys Doubles
The doubles was similar to the singles, one pair made it out of the preliminary round but failed to progress from there as Pitchford and Cullen fell at the hands of the French partnership of Benjamin Brossier and Romain Lorentz.
