England’s top four men will form the squad for the European Team Championships in September.

Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall, Sam Walker and Tom Jarvis will compete in Nantes, France, from September 3-8.

In the first group stage of matches, England have been drawn against Belarus and Luxembourg.

At the last team event two years ago, an England team missing the rested Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall finished in 25th position. A better finish is guaranteed this time as only 24 countries qualified for the event, but England will have ambitions to compete much nearer the top of the field.

England men booked their place by winning their group in the Stage 2 qualifiers in May, but England women missed out to Belgium.
