There will be 34 teams competing in the 2018/19 season of the Clacton & District League, the same number as last season.
The Windsor Club has entered one additional team but Brotherhood have dropped one. Once again the League will operate three Divisions.
Division One (12 teams): Brotherhood C and D; Lawford; Nomads Panthers, Lions and Tigers; Walton A, B and C; Windsor Condors, Eagles and Hawks.
Division Two (11 teams): Brotherhood F, G, H and I; Nomads Jaguars and Bobcats; Walton E; Windsor Kestrels, Harriers, Buzzards and Magpies.
Division Three (11 teams): Brotherhood E and J; Nomads Pumas, Ocelots, Lynx and Leopards; Walton D; Windsor Penguins, Falcons, Merlins and Robins.
The League season starts on Monday 17th September with the last playing day on Friday 26th April 2019. Details of the fixtures will be available shortly on the League’s website.
The date for the Closed Championships cannot be agreed until next month but it is hoped the Tournament will be held in mid-April at the Coastal Academy Sports Hall as in previous seasons.
The provisional date for the Handicapped Singles Tournament is Saturday 2nd February and, for the Junior Combination, Friday 15th March. The venue for both these events will be Windsor’s St James’ Hall.
It is also hoped a Division Three Handicap Challenge competition can be organised for Third Division teams only.
The Knock-Out Cup Final is scheduled to be played on Tuesday 30th April as the final match of the season.
Next year’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 4th June.
