Table Tennis Day is just six weeks away, and today we’re launching our #TableTennisDay toolkit to help players up and down the country get the most out of the big day.

This is a day when the whole sport can come together to celebrate our love of table tennis, raise the profile of the sport and encourage more people to get involved and stay active.

We know hundreds of clubs, schools and companies around the country will hold an event on Wednesday, July 18th – but we want to hear from more of you to help us reach our target of getting one million people playing.

The first 100 schools and PremierClubs or Free Clubs who register their events will be sent a free goody bag.

To help you take part and be one in a million, we’ve put together this toolkit full of ideas and activities on how to get involved – and for everyone who registers an event and takes part, there’s a chance to win a visit from one of the England Table Tennis squad.

But that’s not all – throughout the day they’ll be the chance to win prizes by sharing photos with us on social media using the hashtag #TableTennisDay

Alongside spot prizes for photos, you can enter the following competitions:

• Serve yourself
• Best selfie
• Bling your bat
• Largest around the table
• Most impressive improvised bat
• Most interesting location for a game
• Top trick shot

Our National Event – Milton Keynes

Table Tennis England’s feature event is a showcase of what #TableTennisDay is all about.

We take over an area in a city for the day in an attempt to get passers-by to give it a go.

This year we’ll be taking over Milton Keynes by transforming intu Shopping Centre into a festival of table tennis.

There’ll be the chance to test your skills against one of our 2018 Commonwealth Games medallists, and also take part in other fun challenges too – including Choose your Weapon, Around the World and the robot challenge.

We’ll be located in intu shopping centre in central MK from 11am to 2pm, so come and help us reach our target of one million people playing on one day!

After #TableTennisDay:

Send us a picture or video of your event and the number of participants that took part to [email protected] or tweet/Instagram us @TableTennisEng and use the hashtag #tabletennisday.

All entries must be submitted by midnight on July 20th 2018.
